This policy explains what information the mobile game Rolly Smashy! collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the game on the Apple App Store.

What the game stores on your device

The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:

Deleting the app removes all of it.

Gameplay statistics — GameAnalytics

If Share Usage & Crash Data is on (it is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings), the game sends information about how the game is going to GameAnalytics:

GameAnalytics also collects a device identifier (the identifier Apple provides to each app publisher, and the advertising identifier only if you allowed tracking), your device model, operating system and language, the app version, when each session starts and how long it lasts, and your IP address, which is used to work out your country.

We use this to find the levels where players get stuck or give up, to keep the coin economy fair, and to see which parts of the store and which adverts work.

Crash reports — Firebase Crashlytics

With the same setting on, if the game crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service. It contains what the game was doing at the time, your device model, operating system, and free memory and storage, the app version, and a random installation identifier used to count how many players a problem affects. It does not include your name or anything you typed. Google keeps crash reports for 90 days.

The game uses Google's Firebase platform only for crash reporting. Google Analytics for Firebase is switched off.

Advertising — Unity LevelPlay

The game shows a full-screen advert after every third to fifth level you finish, whether you cleared it or not — less often early in a chapter, more often later on. Sometimes the advert is for another Hobbs Games title; those are shown by the game itself and collect nothing. Buying No Ads removes every advert, permanently. The purchase is tied to your Apple account and can be brought back with Restore Purchases in Settings. If you own No Ads, the advertising service is not started at all.

Paid adverts are provided through Unity LevelPlay, which chooses an advertising network to fill each one. LevelPlay and those networks receive your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), your IP address and the approximate location it implies, device details such as model, operating system, language and screen size, and how you interact with adverts (which were shown and whether you tapped them). They use this to choose and deliver adverts, measure them, prevent fraud, and — where you have allowed it — show adverts based on your activity in other apps and websites.

The advertising networks we currently use are:

Consent in the UK and European Economic Area. If you play in the UK, the European Union or elsewhere in the European Economic Area, the game first shows a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform. It explains what our advertising partners would like to do with your information and lets you accept, refuse or choose purpose by purpose. Your choice is passed to every advertising network the game uses, and adverts are only personalised if you agree. You can change your answer at any time with Privacy Choices in the game's Settings. Outside these regions the form is not shown.

Tracking permission. The game asks your permission, using Apple's tracking prompt, before your advertising identifier can be used. It asks once, after the tutorial. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, adverts still appear but are not based on your activity elsewhere. You can change your answer at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Leaderboards — Game Center

If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, the game sends four numbers to it: the highest level you have cleared, the most jars you have broken with a single roll, your total jars broken, and the total rolls you have saved by clearing levels with rolls to spare. Game Center shows them on leaderboards next to your Game Center nickname, to the people your Game Center settings allow. These go to Apple, not to us — we never see your Apple Account — and Apple's privacy policy applies. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent. You can sign out, or hide yourself from other players, in your device's Settings → Game Center.

Purchases

Rolly Smashy! offers optional purchases: a coin pack, a power-up bundle and ad removal. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details, billing address or payment method. Apple tells the game whether a purchase completed and what it cost. The game records that ad removal was bought so it can be restored later and, if statistics are on, reports the product and price to GameAnalytics as described above.

You can restore ad removal at any time using Restore Purchases in Settings. Coins and power-up bundles are used up when spent and cannot be restored.

Children

Rolly Smashy! is not directed at children and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the game tells its advertising partners that it is not a children's app. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email HobbsGamesSupport@gmail.com and we will delete it.

If you contact us

Send Feedback in Settings opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. Below where you type, it fills in the game version, your device model, its operating system and the level you are on, because that is what we need to answer most questions. You can see and remove any of it before sending. We receive only what you choose to send, and use it only to reply to you.

Where your information goes, and how it is protected

The services above may process information in the United States and other countries. Everything sent from the game travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Each service keeps information according to its own policy, linked above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR (UK and European Union) or the CCPA (California), including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising networks may use information to show adverts based on your activity elsewhere, which some laws call "sharing"; you can stop this by refusing or turning off tracking as described above, or by emailing us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it, and any significant change will be announced in the game before it takes effect.
